The Mega Portable Tank is a 12,000 gallon platform or in stand in tank designed for towing with a fifthwheel on-highway tractor. The Mega MPT is used to rapidly fill water distribution equipment to maximize the productivity of your operation. All Mega MPT’s are self-erecting, using an engine driven hydraulic pump and hoist cylinders. Mega MPT’s have a 12 inch diameter discharge pipe that can delivery up to 2,500 gpm – capable of filling a 5,000 gallon tank in approximately 2 minutes.

• Self Rising System
  • Dual 127 mm (5 in) diameter double acting hydraulic cylinders allows tank to be raised for connection to tractor. Frame can be lifted with same cylinders, after tractor hook up.
  • 6.5 horsepower engine and hydraulic pump mounted on base with handle for removal and storage after tank is locked in the raised position.
  • Quick disconnects on hydraulic lines to pump.
  • Easy to operate two lever control system.
  • Pin handler for ground level installation and removal of support pins.
• Water Fill System
  • One individual 76.2 mm (3 in) diameter inlets; each with a 76.2 mm (3 in) valve controlled by a single float mechanism
  • 203.2 mm (8 in) diameter float for smooth positive shut off when tank is full
  • Valve mounted at bottom of fill pipe to allow maintenance at ground level with tank in lowered position

• Additional Technical Manuals: Additional sets of manuals are available for purchase. Mega portable tanks include a complete set of technical manuals detailing installation, operation, maintenance, inspection and replacement parts.
• Additional Water Fill Pipe: The additional water fill pipe reduces fill time and integrates with the existing auto shutoff feature.
• Clean-Out Access Port: The ten inch diameter clean-out port allows external access to the interior of the tank for easy cleaning and debris removal.
• Custom Exterior Paint: An optional color for the tank exterior can be selected.
• Custom Graphics: A custom graphic and text can be added to your tank. Your Mega sales representative can assist with the graphic design and will provide a proof for your review.
• Interior Coatings (Epoxy or Urethane): Mega tanks are abrasive blasted prior to the application of the interior coating. The epoxy lining is well suited for harsh, acidic, alkaline, and salty waters. Urethane lining is very effective in normal to salty waters. Coating data sheet and MSDS available upon request.
• Interior Ladder: An optional ladder is mounted in the interior of the tank to provide access in addition to the supplied egress rungs.
• Ladder Cage: The ladder cage provides added safety when accessing the top of the tank.
• Remote Control Water Discharge System: The discharge system includes a solar panel mounted on the tank. This charges the battery for the electric motor which powers the remote control, electrically actuated butterfly valve.
• Side-Discharge Pipe: The side-discharge pipe allows water trucks to be positioned alongside the portable tank for filling. This feature is useful when the MPT is placed in a highway center median or an area with limited space.
• Wye Strainer For Standard Fill Pipe: The wye strainer is installed on the standard fill pipe to help prevent debris from entering the fill pipe valve.
