Ed Kirby established Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. in 1983, instilling his philosophy of customer service and dealer support into his company to grow what started out as a 30-person used equipment business into the sizable operation it is today with nearly 800 employees and 12 locations throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Missouri that offer heavy equipment and crane sales, rentals, parts, service, product support, and training. In 1987, Kirby-Smith became the authorized dealer for Komatsu in Oklahoma, which is one of several milestones on the path to where we are today. Through four decades of growth, Ed’s guiding principle to listen to our customers has shaped everything from the lines we carry to the services we offer. Today, Ed’s legacy of leadership continues through our President, John Arapidis, and the hundreds of dedicated employees committed to keeping our customers up and running with the best equipment and dealer support possible.
