New Komatsu C202 Harvester Head for Sale

Tackle tough forestry jobs with confidence using Komatsu wheeled harvesters, forwarders, log loaders, swing machines, felling heads and harvesting heads. Forestry work is often in the most rugged terrain and brutal conditions — and Komatsu forestry equipment is engineered for the task.

The new C202 is an extremely high-quality, highly productive, and robust head. The quality and the durability can be seen in everything from the sturdy frame and saw units to the stable attachments and reliable hydraulics. Everything to optimize reliability, service life, and ease of service.

What's more, this is a head with a myriad of options. You can, for example, opt for a vertical knife with a skid tip and thereby improve performance when working with crooked trees. If your base machine is a forestry excavator, you have the option of equipping the head with a sprocket, saw bar, and chain for ¾" pitch (standard if the base machine is a wheeled harvester). You decide.

Another reason to choose the C202 is its superb measurement accuracy. The Maxi control and information system provides full control and automatically takes care of everything from gripping force to length and diameter measurements. So, if you want a head that's as durable and sturdy as it is technically advanced, choose the Komatsu C202!

  • Advanced feed system: Two feed motors powering two driven feed rollers, plus three support rollers, provide multiple contact points to carry the stem. Designed to center the stem for efficient feeding. Low clamping pressure delivers high feed force with low energy consumption.
  • Rugged delimbing knife system: Two upper hydraulically controlled delimbing knives designed for handling trees with tough limbs, a fixed vertical top knife and a fixed bottom knife provide high performance delimbing. Cast iron knives deliver high durability and performance.
  • Constant Cut saw unit: Intelligent saw motor control delivers the right chainsaw speed to reduce splitting risk and provide short cutting times. Programmable EcoOiler automatic chain lubrication system. Optional 20.9-in (530-mm) top saw can further improve productivity.
  • Accurate length/diameter measuring systems: Patented length-measuring wheel cylinder design ensures constant equalized pressure to closely follow stem irregularities. High-resolution encoders, both left and right, deliver high accuracy.
  • MaxiXT smart control system: State-of-the-art control system with intuitive graphical interface to manage all aspects of head control and performance. Easy programming of individual operator control preferences plus production parameters such as tree species, length and diameter.
  • Excellent reliability and serviceability: Computer and hydraulic hoses/tubes are well-protected for high reliability. All daily service can be performed at ground level without repositioning. Centralized lubrication points further reduce service time.
